LILO SPORTS is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee the financial operations and ensure accurate reporting across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, including budgeting and forecasting, account reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of professional experience, preferably holding an ACCA or a Masters in Accounts, with Chartered Accountant certification viewed favorably.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports to support business operations and strategic planning.
- Create and maintain budgets and forecasting models to support financial planning and resource allocation.
- Perform account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Oversee general ledger management and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Coordinate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Manage cash flow to ensure the company has sufficient funds for operations and investments.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of tax filings.
- Utilize ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks to streamline accounting processes and improve data accuracy.
- Assess internal controls and implement improvements to enhance the reliability of financial reporting and safeguard assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Analyze budget performance and provide recommendations for adjustments when necessary.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
