Libra Metal Engineering is seeking a skilled SOLID Work Designer and Laser Welding Operator with proven experience in 3D modeling and 2D design. The candidate will also operate laser welding machinery, ensuring weld quality and adherence to production standards. The ideal professional has a minimum of two years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of welding techniques and material preparation required for laser welding tasks. This position does not involve managing a team but requires close collaboration with engineering and production departments to deliver high-quality metal components. The role involves balancing detailed design work with hands-on welding operations. You will contribute by preparing materials, setting up and operating laser welding machines, and verifying the accuracy of 3D models and drawings to support manufacturing processes. Attention to detail and practical knowledge of both design software and welding principles are essential to meet project specifications and production deadlines efficiently. The ability to troubleshoot and optimize welding processes is valued to maintain consistent product quality and enhance operational throughput within Libra Metal Engineerings production environment.
Responsibilities

  • Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks CAD software to meet design requirements and manufacturing specifications.
  • Apply expertise in sheet metal design for precision development of parts suitable for laser welding and fabrication.
  • Prepare materials and components ensuring they are suitable for laser welding operations and meet quality standards.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain laser welding machines to perform welding tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement appropriate welding techniques to ensure strong, defect-free welds in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and production team members to coordinate design and welding processes effectively.
  • Review and verify designs and welding results, making necessary adjustments to improve quality and production efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of welding operations, material usage, and design modifications to support quality control and traceability.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment during design and welding activities.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize welding parameters and procedures to enhance product durability and operational efficiency.
