Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care, ensuring the health of mothers and newborns throughout the pregnancy and after delivery.
Administer routine immunizations for children and mothers following established health protocols to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases.
Conduct community health education sessions focusing on maternal and child health care, family planning, nutrition, and hygiene practices.
Offer family planning counseling and services to help individuals and couples make informed reproductive health decisions.
Monitor maternal health by performing regular health assessments and identifying risks requiring medical referral.
Deliver newborn care techniques including breastfeeding support, lactation consulting, and early detection of health issues.
Maintain accurate health records and utilize Health Information Systems (HIS) to document patient data and support program analysis.
Participate in epidemiological surveillance and public health data analysis to track maternal and child health outcomes and emerging health trends.
Develop and implement health education programs tailored to community needs, promoting preventive health practices and awareness.
Provide health counseling and communication to address community concerns, encourage health-seeking behaviors, and foster trust.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, community leaders, and public health officials to enhance maternal and child health services.
Ensure adherence to policies, guidelines, and ethical standards related to maternal and child health care.
