The Legal Expert / Consultant serves as a senior advisor responsible for providing expert legal guidance and technical support to a national human rights organization implementing a project aimed at strengthening advocacy for womens rights and protection. This role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering gender-responsive legal training curricula and materials, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and practical application aligned with current laws and international human rights standards. The consultant will play a pivotal role in enhancing the professional capacity of young female lawyers across multiple provinces through structured learning programmes and a digital legal toolkit.
The position requires deep expertise in gender-based violence laws, international human rights instruments, and survivor-centred legal practice within the Pakistani legal context. The consultant develops participant-centered training agendas, handbooks, facilitator guides, and assessment tools while ensuring trauma-informed and survivor-oriented approaches. Although the consultant will not manage a team, close collaboration with project leadership and coordination with training and advocacy staff is essential for quality assurance, scheduling, and content delivery throughout the assignment.
