The Manager of Digital Subscriptions & Strategic Planning will lead the development and execution of subscription strategies across Print, Digital, and Broadcast Media services. This role involves managing a team of sales professionals, driving revenue growth, and aligning subscription initiatives with broader business objectives. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the media landscape, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in strategic planning and sales management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive subscription strategies for Print, Digital, and Broadcast Media services.

2. Digital:

  • Evaluate the current market demand for digital subscriptions, including online news, e-magazine, and streaming services.
  • Enhance digital offerings with personalized content, premium features, and tiered subscription models.
  • Leverage digital marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, and targeted online ads.

3. Print:

  • Analyze the ongoing relevance of print media and identify niche markets where print subscriptions remain strong.
  • Innovate print subscriptions with value-added services, such as exclusive content, limited editions, or bundled offers with digital access.
  • Utilize direct mail campaigns, in-store promotions, and collaborations with retail outlets.

4. Broadcast:

  • Assess opportunities in broadcast media, focusing on how digital subscriptions can integrate with or enhance traditional broadcast offerings.
  • Develop digital extensions of broadcast content, offering on-demand access, exclusive online shows, or podcasts as part of the subscription. Promote subscriptions through on-air advertisements, cross-promotions with digital platforms, and partnerships with other media outlets.

5. Target Audience Identification:

  • Segment the audience based on demographics, behavior, and media consumption preferences.

6. Sales & Distribution Channels:

  • Expand sales channels for digital and broadcast subscriptions through partnerships with telecom providers, app stores, and e-commerce platforms. - Strengthen traditional sales channels for print subscriptions, including distributors network/Hawkers, bookstores/Stalls, and Regional sales teams.
  • Align subscription plans with overall company goals, ensuring they support revenue growth, customer acquisition, and retention.

7. Product Development, Innovation & Pricing Strategy:

  • Establish competitive pricing models for each media service, with options for bundled packages that offer cross-platform access.

8. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in sales management, and digital subscriptions, within the media industry.
