Koh-e-Sultan Mining Company Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator with a strong background in handling heavy machinery safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience operating excavators and is skilled in load and grade control to perform precise digging, grading, trenching, and complex load manipulation. This role requires a high level of spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination to ensure that machinery is operated with accuracy and safety in mind throughout mining operations. The Excavator Operator will work closely with ground spotters using hand signals to maintain clear and effective communication on busy work sites.
This position does not require managing a team but demands an individual who can carry out regular maintenance tasks, including performing pre-start safety inspections, lubricating equipment, monitoring fluid levels, and conducting basic troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performance. Adherence to heavy machinery safety protocols and the ability to maintain equipment are critical to sustaining safe and productive operations within the companys mining projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators to perform tasks such as digging, grading, trenching, and load manipulation with high precision and control.
- Conduct pre-start safety checks and maintenance activities including greasing, fluid level monitoring, and basic equipment troubleshooting to maintain machine reliability.
- Follow all heavy machinery safety guidelines and standard operating procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with ground spotters using hand signals to coordinate movements and positioning of heavy machinery on site.
- Monitor machine performance and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
- Adjust operating techniques based on terrain and job requirements to maximize efficiency and minimize disturbance to the work area.
- Maintain clean and organized worksite conditions around the machinery to support safe and efficient operations.
- Document and record daily operational activities, including equipment use, maintenance performed, and incidents observed.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry regulations and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with other team members, including operators and ground personnel, to achieve project goals.
- Apply spatial awareness to navigate complex work environments and prevent equipment collisions or damage.
- Utilize load and grade control technologies where applicable to enhance operational accuracy.
