The Soc Analyst at Kidan plays a vital role in strengthening the organization's information security infrastructure by supporting the continuous monitoring, implementation, and maintenance of security controls. This position is crucial for protecting company systems, networks, and sensitive data against cyber threats and ensuring compliance with established information security policies and frameworks such as ISO 27001. The analyst actively participates in vulnerability management, identity and access management, and the documentation process to uphold the integrity and confidentiality of organizational data. This role requires a proactive mindset to assist in security awareness programs and audit activities while providing analytical support to identify potential risks and remediate vulnerabilities. Even though this position does not involve managing a team, it demands excellent communication and coordination skills to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings at least two years of hands-on experience in information security or IT, complemented by relevant certifications and a solid understanding of essential network and security technologies.
Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of security controls in alignment with ISO 27001 standards.
  • Monitor and track vulnerability remediation activities to reduce the organization's risk exposure.
  • Assist in conducting user access reviews and managing identity and access management (IAM) processes to ensure appropriate permissions.
  • Maintain and update security documentation including policies, procedures, and risk registers.
  • Participate and contribute to security awareness initiatives and training programs to improve overall security posture.
  • Gather evidence and documentation to support internal and external audit activities related to information security compliance.
  • Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to monitor security events and identify potential threats.
  • Collaborate with various teams to support incident detection and response efforts ensuring timely mitigation of cyber risks.
  • Analyze and report on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence to assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Stay current with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously enhance security measures.
  • Assist in maintaining endpoint detection and response (EDR) and data loss prevention (DLP) systems for comprehensive threat management.
  • Support firewall and network security monitoring efforts to identify unusual activities or breaches.
