The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing and supervising our accounting operations. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of financial processes, compliance regulations, and the ability to lead a team effectively. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience and is well-versed in financial principles and modern accounting software, especially Odoo.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare detailed financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually), along with comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and internal policies.
  • Conduct budgeting and forecasting, regularly analyzing variances to provide actionable insights for budget adjustments.
  • Collaborate with department heads on financial planning, expense management, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate audit processes by liaising with external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to junior accounting staff, assisting with professional development and training in accounting best practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sector.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in accounting software, particularly Odoo, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and the ability to implement best practices in financial management.
