The Techno-Commercial Officer serves as a key interface between customers, technical teams, and commercial functions, ensuring that customer requirements are effectively translated into technically sound and commercially viable solutions. The role combines technical expertise, business development, customer relationship management, and commercial support to drive sales growth and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.
The position is responsible for developing a clear understanding of customer needs, providing technical and commercial guidance, and supporting the sales team in identifying and converting business opportunities. This includes conducting product presentations and demonstrations, preparing technical and commercial proposals, quotations and tender submissions, and providing technical support throughout the sales process.
The role also involves conducting customer visits, audits, and technical assessments to evaluate product applications, identify improvement opportunities, and uncover potential business prospects. The officer is expected to provide customer training, address technical queries and complaints, and coordinate with internal functions such as Sales, R&D, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer requirements.
In addition, the Techno-Commercial Officer conducts market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, customer expectations, competitive developments, and new business opportunities. The role maintains relevant customer, market, tender, and sales information and provides accurate and timely reports to management to support business decisions.
The position ensures that all customer engagements, technical activities, proposals, and product-related activities are conducted in accordance with applicable industry standards, OEM requirements, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
