Junior SQA Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer with 6 months to 1 year of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our web and mobile applications through both manual and automation testing. You will work closely with developers and product teams to identify issues, verify fixes, and help deliver high-quality software products that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to validate functionality and usability. Create, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with developers to ensure new features align with functional and business requirements. Conduct various testing types including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and usability testing. Develop, execute, and maintain basic automated test scripts for web and mobile platforms. Assist in automating repetitive test cases to improve test coverage and efficiency. Analyze test results and provide clear, detailed bug reports with reproducible steps. Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Work with cross-functional teams to continuously enhance software quality. Utilize AI-powered testing and productivity tools to improve test coverage, bug detection, and documentation.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Between 6 months to 1 year of experience in Software Quality Assurance. Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Hands-on experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications. Basic knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks. Familiarity with API testing using Postman or equivalent tools. Experience with version control systems like Git. Proficiency in bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Female candidates are encouraged to apply. The monthly compensation for this role is Rs 60,000. The position requires reliable commuting or relocation to Islamabad G-8/Markaz prior to starting work. This is an in-person role based at the specified location.
