The Administrator will oversee and manage our network, databases, and systems infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
The Incumbent's major responsibilities will include:
- Configure, monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations to ensure reliable network performance.
- Manage network hardware (routers, switches, wireless access points) and enforce network security protocols.
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database to ensure data backup, availability, and integrity.
- Perform routine maintenance, optimize queries, and handle database migrations as required.
- Implement data protection protocols, including backups, restoration, and encryption, and support business continuity plans.
- Handling, operating and installation of IT equipment including Computers, Laptops, Multimedia Projectors/LCDs, Printers, Copiers and Scanners etc.
- Handling customer and colleague queries regarding networks, systems, and applications, often through a help desk.
- Assisting in purchasing of IT Equipment and supplies
