Jk Consultants seeks a skilled Industrial Engineer with a minimum of five years of practical experience in manufacturing or micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) improvement. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering and has expertise in optimizing workplace organization and material flow. This role demands a professional who can apply lean manufacturing principles, conduct time-and-motion studies, and improve productivity by reducing downtime and changeover times. Experience in quality enhancement and the ability to develop detailed, actionable plans, layouts, and standard operating procedures are essential. A fundamental understanding of workplace health and safety is a preferred qualification. The successful Industrial Engineer plays a critical role in evaluating and redesigning production processes to boost efficiency and output without compromising quality. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it requires close collaboration with production staff and other engineers to implement continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer will analyze existing manufacturing workflows and layouts, identify bottlenecks, and design improvements that align with business goals. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail will support the development of practical resource management strategies that enhance overall operational performance.
Responsibilities

Analyze existing manufacturing and production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement using lean tools and process mapping techniques.
Develop and implement workplace organization strategies, including the 5S methodology, to optimize productivity and maintain cleanliness and order in production areas.
Conduct time-and-motion studies to establish standard work procedures and optimize worker and machine productivity.
Design efficient production layouts and material flow systems that reduce waste and streamline operations across manufacturing facilities.
Prepare comprehensive action plans, layouts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) tailored to enhance manufacturing processes and ensure consistent quality.
Monitor productivity metrics to identify trends and initiate corrective actions aimed at downtime and changeover time reduction.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement continuous improvement strategies that elevate product quality and minimize defects.
Assist in the evaluation and application of workplace health and safety practices to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Support cross-functional teams by providing engineering expertise during the implementation of manufacturing improvements.
Maintain accurate documentation of process changes, validations, and recommendations for operational management review.
