Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding Operations:

    • Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on stainless steel components used in dairy processing and packaging.
    • Ensure all welds meet industry standards and specifications, maintaining the integrity and hygiene required for dairy production.
    • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to determine welding requirements.
    • Select appropriate tungsten electrodes and filler materials based on the specific requirements of the project.
  • Equipment and Material Handling:

    • Set up and operate welding equipment, including power sources, torches, and shielding gas systems.
    • Inspect materials, components, and equipment to ensure they are clean and free from contaminants.
    • Handle and store welding materials and tools properly to prevent contamination and ensure longevity.
  • Quality Control:

    • Conduct visual inspections of welds to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion.
    • Perform necessary adjustments to welding techniques to achieve the desired quality and adherence to industry standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of welding operations, including material usage, time, and inspection results.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets, gloves, and flame-resistant clothing.
    • Follow hygiene and sanitation standards critical in the dairy industry to prevent contamination.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to coordinate welding tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
    • Provide input on design modifications and improvements to enhance weld quality and process efficiency
