We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist – Physical Security Systems to join our team and provide technical expertise for post-sales activities. In this role, you will work closely with the sales team, project managers, and customers to design, implement, and support physical security solutions. You will also collaborate with installation and service teams to ensure systems are configured, installed, and maintained to meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Configuration:
    • Design and configure physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection, to meet customer requirements and industry best practices.
    • Ensure seamless integration of systems with existing infrastructure and technologies.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical guidance to installation and service teams, ensuring systems are installed and maintained to meet quality standards.
    • Assist the service team in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with physical security systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Site Assessments and Surveys:
    • Conduct on-site surveys to gather detailed information on customer requirements and site-specific conditions.
    • Provide recommendations for system design based on site assessments and customer needs.
  • Networking and System Configuration:
    • Configure and troubleshoot network switches at the Layer 3 (L3) level to support system connectivity.
    • Configure and manage Windows operating systems, including troubleshooting and cluster-level setup.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in physical security systems.
    • Recommend system updates or enhancements based on emerging technologies and customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting physical security systems.
  • Hands-on experience with access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, including L3 switch configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Windows operating systems, including cluster-level setup.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and customers.
  • Ability to conduct site surveys and translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • A proactive approach to staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
