Accounts Officer

Ravi Exchange Company is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in accounting functions and holds a relevant qualification such as B.Com, M.Com, or BBA with a major in finance. This role is based in Lahore and requires a resident of the city. The Accounts Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the company’s financial operations through comprehensive reporting and account management. This position does not involve managing a team but requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while coordinating with various departments. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining the company’s financial integrity by managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring all transactions comply with accounting standards and tax laws. Attention to detail and knowledge of general ledger management are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
Prepare and analyze financial reports to support management decision-making.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure consistency between company records and bank statements.
Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations by preparing and submitting necessary tax filings.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial statements.
Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors during financial audits as required.
Monitor and manage petty cash transactions and record keeping.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing financial data and insight.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records promptly to maintain accuracy.
