Job Description
- We are looking for an innovative Assistant Procurement Manager (textile) to lead our procurement team.
- You will spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes.
- Our procurement manager will be a supply chain and logistics expert who will specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company. Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures on supply chain management will be some of your main priorities when carrying out this role.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and source materials for garment production.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.
- Oversee timely and accurate material fulfillment.
- Ensure materials meet quality standards.
- Manage material inventory to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Monitor and optimize procurement expenses.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in textile
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in supply chain management, or business administration.
- Familiarity with textile manufacturing processes, fabrics, and materials.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing relationships with textile suppliers.
- Hands-on experience with textile procurement processes and managing production timelines.
- Background in ensuring textile materials meet quality standards.
- Experience managing textile material inventory to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Ability to monitor and optimize procurement expenses in the textile industry.
- An advanced degree, such as an MBA or related master's, can enhance qualifications.
