Technical

  • Identification of new projects & support in proposals development to diversify the livelihood options by introducing innovative activities
  • Effective coordination and planning of livelihood activities.
  • Proper planning and execution of livelihoods activities while consulting all concern
  • Ensure timely completion of all activities while adhering to quality aspects
  • Progress sharing with line management on a regular basis along with developing projects monthly, interim, and closed-out reports
  • Develop criteria, and assessment tools & finalize those after proper consultation with line management
  • Ongoing monitoring of all interventions & sharing timely feedback with line management
  • Gauge impacts of all interventions & share report with all concern
  • Identify resource persons for capacity building component under livelihoods

Operational

  • Preparation of weekly/monthly work plans against PMT (performance-measured time frame) by ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks in the stipulated time period.
  • Maintenance of hard records that includes field visit reports, CO meeting minutes, beneficiary data, assessment records, distribution records & other documentation.
  • Ensure appropriate beneficiary’s data collection & screening prior to making any transaction
  • Ensure proper filling of forms & formats as per desired standard
  • Extend support to MEAL / MIS / Communications staff for gathering desired information.
  • Ensure availability of up-to-date info in MIS on a regular basis with consultation of MIS / M&E.
  • Close coordination with the line manager for effective implantation of project activities.

Organizational

  • Ensure compliance with IR’s policies & procedures in true spirit for effective delivery of services to communities.
  • In-depth understanding of IR values and their demonstration in the field while working with communities.
  • Abide by the IR zero-tolerance policy towards bribery & corruption through sensitization/empowerment of communities on coping mechanisms so that they can raise their voices as & when feel inappropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of IR strategic priorities to ensure effective implementation with future sustainability.
  • Assist in the identification & documentation of organizational successes for showcasing IR work
  • Facilitate communities in the adaptation of environment-friendly & cost-effective approaches to meet their current as well as future needs with specific attention to climate change.
  • Focused efforts to be made for mainstreaming of marginalized groups i.e. Persons with disability and old age, minorities, Women & Children, etc. in consultation & implementation of project activities at the ground.
  • Strengthen mechanism to Influence the decision makers through communities to pay attention to DRR planning, give voice to suffering and the excluded, and highlight the protection needs of people.
  • Participation and facilitation in the implementation of IR seasonal programs.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with Islamic values and principles as well as commitment to Islamic Relief Worldwide’s vision, mission, and core values.

Essential:

  • Knowledge of pro-poor, equity & inclusion issues
  • Fluent in local language speaking and listening.
  • Experience and knowledge of carrying out community-based training/s.
  • Coordination and networking.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports and correspondence.
  • Gender-sensitized and committed to gender equality.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Good health, and the ability and flexibility to work long hours under difficult conditions and under pressure.

Experience

  • Knowledge of livelihood programming (preferably livestock and agriculture)
  • Knowledge of PRA tools
  • Ability and motivation to travel within IR Pakistan

  • Ability to meet deadlines, achieve results, and work with minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • The employee will exhibit excellent standards of moral conduct and behavior
