To lead the planning, designing, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of food security and livelihood projects while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, strategic priorities, and donor requirements.

Key Result Areas

Technical Level

  •  Identify new projects and support proposal development to diversify climate-adaptive food security and livelihood options with innovative activities.
  • Coordinate and plan climate adaptive food security and livelihood activities effectively, ensuring timely and quality execution.
  • Monitor interventions, assess impacts, and provide feedback to line management.
  • Develop context-specific criteria and assessment tools in consultation with relevant management.
  • Ensure proper right holder data collection and screening, adhering to desired standards.
  • Identify gaps, avoid overlaps and advise field teams on best practices for sustainable livelihoods, water resources, and land management.
  • Foster team building and resolve field-level challenges.
  • Ensure effective M&E applications and maintain up-to-date information in MIS.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local communities, line agencies, NGOs/INGOs, and UN agencies.
  • Oversee planning, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring of programs/projects.
  • Prepare and maintain work plans, reports, and documentation for project activities.
  • Facilitate community adaptation to environment-friendly and cost-effective approaches, focusing on climate change.
  • Ensure the inclusion of marginalized groups in project activities and promote DRR planning.
  • Participate in IR seasonal programs and showcase organizational successes. 

Operational Level

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on operational matters.
  • Manage and maintain records related to program and operations in compliance with ARM policy.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management.
  • Ensure proper data management and adherence to standards as per ARM policy.
  • Collaborate closely with line and technical manager(s) for policy implementation.

 Organizational Level

  • Support compliance with IR’s policies for effective service delivery.
  • Demonstrate IR values and comply with IR’s policies including zero-tolerance policy towards bribery and corruption.
  • Contribute to IR’s strategic priorities and identify ways to support organizational achievements.
  • Assist in documenting and showcasing organizational successes.

 Person Specifications

  • It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision, and mission as well as commitment to its SEAH (sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards SEAH and don’t support any action that promotes or encourages SEAH.
