• To develop, implement, and monitor Disaster Risk Reduction strategies aimed at building community resilience and reducing disaster impacts.

Person Specification

It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its SEAH (sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) and Safeguarding protocols. We have zero tolerance policy towards SEAH and doesn’t support any action that promote or encourage SEAH.

Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Disaster Management, Environmental Science, Geography, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in DRR, Climate Change Adaptation, or Humanitarian Response are advantageous.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience Masters/Bach elor (Hons) 16 years of education in Disaster Risk Reduction, emergency response, or resilience-building projects, preferably with an NGO or humanitarian organization.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience Bachelor/14 years education in Disaster Risk Reduction, emergency response, or resilience-building projects, preferably with an NGO or humanitarian organization.
  •  Proven experience in community-based disaster preparedness, risk assessment, and DRR programming.
  • xperience with project management, including planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation, is desirable.

 Computer Skills:

 MS Office, Outlook, ERP systems familiarity

Language:

Urdu, Pushto, Balochi/local languages and English

  • Able to work under extreme conditions in field areas.
