Technical:
- Coordinate pre-shoot planning and documentation with team members
- Work with the Creative Director or collaborative team to create the film or video product
- Ensure that equipment for a shoot is present and working.
- Plan the shoot with the creative team and the program team.
- Film videos on set or on location
- Direct other camera operators so that the needed footage is acquired.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and tools that will make projects more marketable.
- Work on the post-production of the videos including editing and packaging
- Insert closed captions, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video
- Develop and add computer graphics and special effects to video content
- Follow the script, screenplay or outline while editing
- Input sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs
- Digitally splice the film/video and synchronize them into one rough cut file
- Improve and correct lighting, colouring, and faulty footage
Operational:
- Coordinate with internal (Media and Communications department) & external (vendors) for matters related to photo/video development.
- Put in place a contingency plan/succession plan to deal with human factors affecting or may affect the organizational activities in your absence.
- Close coordination with line manager for effective implementation of policies/guidelines.
Organizational:
- Maintain a strong working relationship with different departments particularly programmes at Country and Area level office
- Maintain respectful relations with all beneficiaries for the collection of their stories
- Ensure compliance with IR’s policies & procedures in true spirit for effective delivery of services.
- Understanding of IR values and their demonstration in real-time.
- Abide by the IR zero-tolerance policy towards bribery & corruption as well as sensitize others on coping mechanisms so that they can raise their voices as & when feel inappropriate.
- Thorough knowledge of IR strategic priorities & the way you can contribute in its achievement.
- Assist in the identification & documentation of organizational successes for showcasing IR work
- Respect & promote the organizational stance on workforce diversity & support the efforts being made for mainstreaming of marginalized groups i.e. Persons with disability and old age, minorities, Women & children etc. in carrying out organization activities.
- Ensure periodic field visits to witness the challenges and implementation of activities at ground level.
- Participation and facilitation in the implementation of IR seasonal programmes.
Person Specification:
It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its SEAH (sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. We have zero-tolerance policy towards SEAH and don’t support any action that promotes or encourages SEAH.
