KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Meal preparation: Cook and prepare meals in a timely manner, ensuring high-quality and delicious dishes for office staff and official guests.
Food presentation: Ensure that the presentation of meals is attractive and appetizing, creating an enjoyable dining experience for employees.
Inventory management: Maintain an organized inventory of food and kitchen supplies, and place orders as needed to ensure sufficient stock levels.
Budgeting and cost control: Manage the food budget effectively, minimizing waste and controlling expenses without compromising on food quality.
Food safety and hygiene: Adhere to food safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
Special events and catering: Plan and execute special office events and catering services when required, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Collaboration: Work closely with the office management team and staff to gather feedback on food offerings and incorporate suggestions for improvement.
Employee engagement: Foster a positive and welcoming environment in the office kitchen or cafeteria, encouraging employee interaction and creating a sense of community during meal times.
Food trend monitoring: Stay updated on the latest food trends and incorporate them into the menu when appropriate to keep the offerings fresh and appealing.
Training and development: If managing a kitchen staff, provide training and guidance to kitchen assistants or support staff to maintain an efficient and well-coordinated team.
Maintaining order, sanitization, and cleanliness in the office especially in the kitchen.
Helping with inventory management, food storage, and supply stocking
Observing the rules and procedures for food safety and cleanliness
Helping as necessary with the ordering and receipt of food and supplies
Assisting with recipe creation and menu planning.
