The Officer Overseas Desk at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry serves as a pivotal liaison for international business engagements. This role is responsible for managing overseas inquiries, providing vital information, and facilitating connections between foreign investors, trade organizations, and local businesses in Pakistan. Acting as a one-window information center, the officer promotes investment opportunities and supports international business linkages by offering accurate and timely guidance on Pakistan's investment policies, regulatory frameworks, and business procedures. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in international trade compliance and export control regulations, coupled with excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin). They coordinate cross-departmental efforts to ensure seamless support and maintain detailed records related to international business activities. While this position does not involve team management, it plays a crucial role in organizing trade delegations, business forums, and investor meetings, contributing significantly to the Chambers mission of enhancing overseas trade relationships.
Responsibilities

Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from overseas businesses, investors, trade organizations, diplomatic missions, and the Pakistani diaspora.
Provide accurate guidance on Pakistan's investment policies, regulatory framework, and business procedures to international stakeholders.
Facilitate business matchmaking by connecting overseas inquiries with relevant local businesses, investors, and institutions.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate, consistent, and comprehensive information is provided.
Maintain and update databases, correspondence, records, and reports related to international business inquiries and engagements.
Assist in planning and executing international business forums, trade delegations, business-to-business meetings, and investment promotion events.
Utilize trade compliance management software and regulatory compliance tools to ensure adherence to international trade regulations.
Monitor and implement export control regulations to maintain compliance with international trade laws.
Support the Chief Operating Officer with additional assignments related to international affairs and trade facilitation as required.
Use excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with foreign investors and trade partners.
Leverage analytical and organizational skills to manage complex international trade inquiries effectively.
Ensure proficiency in digital communication tools and Microsoft Office to provide efficient and professional support.
