Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications in computer science, education, or relevant areas can be a plus.
Teaching certifications or a diploma in education is often required or highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in key programming languages and software relevant to the curriculum (e.g., C, C++, HTML/CSS, SQL).
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux), office productivity software, and educational tools.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals, cybersecurity, and database management, depending on the level of the students.

Experience:

Prior teaching experience, especially at the intermediate or secondary school level.
Experience in curriculum development or participation in educational technology projects is advantageous.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively teach and interact with students, parents, and other staff.
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for students.

Classroom Management:

Ability to manage and engage a classroom effectively.
Experience using digital tools and platforms for managing assignments, assessments, and communication.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Analytical thinking to help students troubleshoot technical issues.
Creativity in delivering lessons and engaging students in hands-on projects.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:

Design, develop, and update lesson plans and the computer science curriculum to align with educational standards and learning goals.
Integrate technology into other subject areas where applicable.

Teaching:

Deliver engaging and informative lessons on various computer science topics.
Facilitate hands-on activities, projects, and lab sessions to reinforce theoretical knowledge.
Evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.

Student Support:

Provide individual and group support to students to enhance their understanding of the subject.
Mentor students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and coding skills.

Assessment and Evaluation:

Prepare and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding of the material.
Provide constructive feedback to students and help them improve their skills.

Classroom Management:

Maintain a positive, disciplined, and conducive learning environment.
Ensure that all students have access to the necessary resources and tools.

Technology Management:

Oversee the maintenance and use of computer labs and equipment.
Ensure that software and hardware are up-to-date and functional.

Professional Development:

Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in computer science and educational technology.
Attend workshops, seminars, and other professional development opportunities.

Collaboration:

Work with other teachers and staff to integrate technology into the broader curriculum.
Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other collaborative activities.

Extracurricular Activities:

Organize or support computer clubs, coding boot camps, or competitions.
Guide students in participating in tech-related extracurricular activities and events.
