Interwood Mobel Pvt Limited seeks a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. In this role, the Quantity Surveyor plays a crucial part in the effective financial management of furniture manufacturing and installation projects. They prepare precise cost estimates and bills of quantities, ensuring that all financial aspects align with project expectations and organizational goals. This position requires collaboration with various teams, including design, production, and procurement, to assess materials and costs effectively. The Quantity Surveyor will also engage in monitoring project expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities, ensuring that financial efficiency does not come at the expense of quality.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities (BOQ) for furniture manufacturing and installation projects.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and procurement teams to gather and evaluate material requirements and costs.
  • Develop, manage, and ensure project budgets meet organizational goals and client expectations.
  • Monitor project expenditures continuously to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct value engineering exercises to promote cost-efficiency while maintaining quality and design standards.
  • Track variations from the original project scope and prepare accurate cost assessments for any changes.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, ensuring detailed scopes, specifications, and cost breakdowns.
  • Analyze bids from vendors and subcontractors, providing informed recommendations based on findings.
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure that all terms are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct accurate measurements of furniture components, installations, and completed works for payment claims.
  • Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications for client approval effectively.
  • Verify subcontractor claims to ensure accuracy and process payments accordingly.
  • Maintain comprehensive project cost reports that include regular updates on financial performance.
  • Provide detailed financial forecasts and risk assessments for both ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Ensure complete documentation of all cost-related activities aligns with company policies and standards.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, contractual obligations, and best practices in cost management.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and advancements in materials relevant to the furniture industry to maintain competitiveness.
