Key Responsibilities:

  1. Fleet Maintenance Management:

    • Plan and schedule regular maintenance and repairs for all fleet vehicles.
    • Conduct inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure timely repairs.
    • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and vehicle performance.
  2. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and train mechanical staff and technicians.
    • Coordinate daily tasks and workloads to ensure efficient operations.
    • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
  3. Budget and Inventory Control:

    • Assist in developing and managing the fleet maintenance budget.
    • Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, ordering as necessary to maintain operations.
  4. Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure all fleet vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits of the fleet.
  5. Performance Monitoring:

    • Analyze vehicle performance data and implement improvements as needed.
    • Prepare reports on fleet operations, costs, and performance metrics for management review.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in fleet management or mechanical supervision (3+ years).
