Integrated Consulting Services is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to oversee and manage the construction supervision of irrigation and water-related infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate holds a master's degree in irrigation engineering or civil engineering and offers at least 10 years of relevant professional experience. This role involves leading a team, ensuring all project activities adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements. The Resident Engineer will play a critical role in interpreting engineering drawings and coordinating on-site inspections to guarantee successful project delivery within the specified scope and timeline. The Resident Engineer is responsible for managing key aspects of project execution, including contract administration, quality control, and compliance with safety protocols. With at least three assignments of similar nature and magnitude, the candidate is expected to apply expert knowledge in irrigation and civil engineering principles throughout the project lifecycle. This position demands excellent leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate closely with all project stakeholders to maintain high standards of performance and project success.


Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team engaged in the construction of irrigation and water infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and timelines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical documents to guide accurate construction practices.
  • Perform regular site inspections to monitor construction quality, safety, and adherence to regulations.
  • Manage contract administration, including monitoring the fulfillment of contractual obligations and resolving any discrepancies or disputes.
  • Implement stringent quality control measures to ensure the final deliverables meet industry and project standards.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate efficient communication and issue resolution.
  • Prepare progress reports documenting project status, challenges, and mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and address potential risks that may impact project timelines or costs, proposing solutions proactively.
  • Review and approve construction schedules, material submittals, and payment certificates in alignment with project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team to improve construction methodologies and enhance overall project performance.
