Job Title: Public Health Analyst I

Position Summary:

Under supervision, the Public Health Analyst I position supports the Integral Global Consulting/Health’s effort of providing sustainable public health solutions and delivering public health impact to vulnerable communities around the world. The PHA I position will play a critical role in program design, implementation, epidemiologic training development & delivery, data solutions, and domestic and international staffing and logistics supports. This position will work closely with the programmatic, administrative, and operational teams of the company to provide project management support to our federal and in-country ministries.

Job Description:

  •  Uses a basic knowledge of public health principles to analyze, develop, implement, and promote new and creative strategies and solutions to address public health issues and challenges.
  •  May assist in provision of technical assistance to organizations to include presentations, web-based resources, strategies, and educational forums to address specific public health issues.
  •  Assists in ensuring the successful development of reports and submission of deliverables to clients and organizational leadership.
  •  Assist senior staff in collaborative efforts with external organizations to develop partnership documents, workplans, and proposals to achieve specific objectives.
  •  Assists an analyst responsible for building, planning, managing, and evaluating public health program(s), projects, and/or activities.
  •  May serve as liaison, committee member, or similar point of contact with internal and external representatives.
  •  Participates in proposal development processes, including stakeholder outreach and write and synthesize technical content for proposals.
  •  Organizes convenings in program countries with local and regional stakeholders.
  •  Supports IG’s digital strategic communications and content development including but not limited to case studies, blog entries, and visual media posts using appropriate technology
  •  This position reports to a senior Public Health Analyst or to the Deputy Director of Public Health Programs.  
  •  Performs related other responsibilities as required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver compelling proposals, reports, and presentations
  • o   Must have strong communication with other PHAs and supervisor
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to effectively communicate results of analyses to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to solve challenging problems without extensive structural or operational support.
  • Able to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments, both internally and externally
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for multiple weeks at a time
  • Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to work in a dynamic work environment, which includes working in multiple teams (programmatic, operations and administrative, and business development).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in public health, healthcare delivery sciences, health education.  
  • Experience managing and developing program management work plans and budgets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English languages a plus 
  • In-country project implementation experience is prerequisite 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience developing, implementing, and evaluating public health programs and scientific studies/surveys designed to improve public health programs in low- and middle-income countries.
