Infotech is seeking a skilled SQA Lead with a minimum of four years of quality assurance experience, including at least one year in a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automation testing within enterprise application environments. This role requires expertise in designing automation frameworks, analyzing BRD and SRS documents, and applying Agile and Scrum methodologies. The SQA Lead will be responsible for leading a team of two QA professionals, mentoring team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by defining test strategies and managing all aspects of the testing lifecycle.
The role demands hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver and TestNG and requires deep knowledge of software development lifecycle and test lifecycle processes. The candidate will oversee test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting, while driving automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is essential to ensure thorough test coverage and successful release validations within continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a QA team of two members, providing guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Define comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and quality standards that align with project requirements and organizational goals.
- Review business requirement documents and system requirement specifications to ensure complete and clear test coverage.
- Coordinate and manage test execution activities, including manual and automated testing efforts.
- Monitor defect tracking processes and ensure timely resolution and accurate defect reporting using tools like JIRA or ClickUp.
- Drive the design and implementation of automation frameworks and tools, optimizing test automation coverage and efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure quality goals are met and releases are thoroughly validated.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and RestAssured to validate backend services and integrations.
- Ensure adherence to Agile and Scrum methodologies, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to promote continuous improvement.
- Analyze quality metrics and generate detailed reports to communicate project status and quality trends to leadership and stakeholders.
- Support the integration of automated testing within CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and repeatable deployments.
- Perform SQL queries to validate data consistency and accuracy during testing phases.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance QA processes, tools, and methodologies to improve overall software quality and team productivity.
