Software Engineer (Java)

Infotech is seeking a skilled Software Engineer specializing in Java to join our dynamic development team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based software applications using the Spring Framework and related technologies. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of object-oriented programming, Java ecosystems, and software architecture principles. With a minimum of three years' experience, the candidate will contribute to delivering scalable, reliable, and clean code that meets project goals and system requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to analyze user needs, design software solutions, and ensure functional and secure applications. The Software Engineer will actively participate in project discussions, coding, testing, debugging, and deploying Java applications. Expertise in RESTful API development, MVC architecture, and database schema design is critical, along with proficiency in utilizing tools for version control, build automation, and continuous integration. Although this position does not require team management responsibilities, strong communication and organizational skills are necessary to efficiently work within the software development team and support Infotechs mission of delivering robust technology solutions.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with the software development team to understand project definitions, goals, and technical requirements.
Analyze system and user requirements to create effective, scalable software solutions.
Design system integration workflows and project architectures using established design and architectural patterns.
Develop, write, and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable Java code using frameworks such as Spring Boot and JPA/Hibernate.
Implement Java-based user interfaces aligned with project specifications and user needs.
Design and manage software database schemas that support business processes and performance requirements.
Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of software applications to identify and resolve defects, ensuring a high level of software quality.
Validate application functionality and security to meet industry standards and organizational policies.
Create and maintain unit tests and contribute to automation testing platforms to uphold code reliability.
Maintain version control using Git or SVN and manage builds with tools like Maven, Gradle, or Ant.
Adhere to code versioning and continuous integration best practices to streamline development workflows.
Apply knowledge of Java concurrency to improve application performance and stability.
Work with MVC frameworks and RESTful services to deliver robust web applications and APIs.
Stay updated on emerging Java technologies and frameworks to enhance software development practices.
Document software design and implementation processes clearly and thoroughly for future reference and team use.
