A program manager learned in NGO/social policy, development, and Management experience in project management is required. Candidate must know and understand the Reporting Skills, Program Management Skills, and M&E Indicators and Coordination.

Primary Job Function:

The program manager will monitor and manage various ICEF projects/governance-related initiatives and coordinate, plan, and supervise the implementation of different awareness Sessions, training sessions, litigation progress, and collaborations with district administrations other CSOs/NGOs, etc. She/he shall also be responsible for providing a narrative of the results every month and ensuring effective delivery of the program. The program manager will be required to have an excellent understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation, Risk Management, Stakeholder relationship management, administration, and other critical program management-related skills

Duties and Responsibilities: 

The program manager will be responsible for the overall implementation of WASH, DRR, and other charity programming in different districts of Sindh, as per the project work plans and proposals. He/she will be responsible for performing the following duties but shall not be limited to:

  • Lead a program team spread across districts in Sindh
  • To monitor, manage and evaluate all Charity projects
  • To prepare project completion reports
  • To work and contribute to the team structure that guides the formulation and development of the outcomes as laid out in the ICEF
  • To review final project reports with the research results
  • Develop monthly/quarterly work plans, and manage project evaluation
  • Support knowledge management process;
  • Manage Program resource mobilization, including project design and proposal writing; Establish and maintain good working relationship with media;
  • Manage communications-related material associated with the program and ensure processing of project information from relevant programs, dissemination through the communication section of the program;
  • Liaises with key stakeholders as required, represents ICEF at various relevant forums as requested by Senior Management, assesses new program opportunities, and assists in developing proposals for such as needed
  • Supervise the work of the other team members
  • Work together with the senior management team for future program development in the community-based/ICEF capacity-building field
  • Organize trainings, roundtables, networking events, and other activities to achieve the goal of the ICEF Capacity building program
  • Develops work plans, budgets, and progress reports as required by ICEF, donors, and other partners
  • Consults with project accountant and Finance and Administration Manager regarding best practices for financial administration of project work
  • Conduct research into main issues regarding the project
  • Developing and implementing contingency plans for the program
  • Identifying processes and procedures for improvement
  • Undertake any other activity that contributes to the smooth running of the program.
  • Any other official task(s) assigned by the Program Head /Chief Executive Officer/Chairman.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree (Preferred) or Bachelor’s in Sociology, Social Works, Anthropology, or equivalent
  • Preference will be given to project management-related qualifications and certifications
  • Minimum 5 years of Experience in related field is required
  • Required advanced level of English, reading, and writing for the drafting of various reports, also knowledge of Sindhi
  • Creative, energetic, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated flexibility, motivation, and maturity
