Imperial Plastic Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with at least five years of experience to join our finance team. The successful candidate plays a crucial role in managing the company's financial records accurately and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position requires strong expertise in financial reporting, tax preparation, general ledger maintenance, and budget management. The Accountant works independently to analyze financial data and support informed decision-making processes within the organization. Attention to detail, accuracy, and proficiency with accounting software are essential for success in this role. As an Accountant at Imperial Plastic Industries, you ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled on a timely basis. You will contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. The role involves collaboration with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting activities, as well as preparing tax reports in compliance with regulatory standards. Although this position does not involve team management responsibilities, the individual must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently under deadlines.
Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records by managing general ledger entries and reconciling accounts regularly.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions ensuring timely processing and payment.
  • Handle tax preparation and ensure compliance with all relevant tax reporting requirements and regulations.
  • Collaborate with department managers to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities accurately and adhere to established deadlines.
  • Utilize accounting software to input, track, and report financial data efficiently and effectively.
  • Review expense reports and verify the accuracy of financial information submitted by other departments.
  • Identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures to resolve accounting issues promptly.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing detailed financial documentation and explanations.
  • Continuously update knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
