Ideal Carpet Industries (Pvt) Ltd. seeks a motivated Associate Engineer Electronics with at least three years of practical experience to join its technical team. The role primarily focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electronic components in servo drives, servo motors, inverters, and related machine electronics cards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong hands-on skills in fault-finding and repair, with the ability to accurately read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics to support complex machine issue resolution. This position requires a solid foundation in both analog and digital electronics, with careful attention to detail and adherence to technical documentation standards. The Associate Engineer Electronics is responsible for identifying, isolating, and repairing faulty electronics cards and PCBs used in various machinery and control panels. The position demands proficiency in component-level diagnosis, soldering, rework techniques, and usage of test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes. The candidate works collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime, maintain thorough records of repairs, track spare inventory, and conduct root cause analysis for recurring failures. Familiarity with power electronics, motor control systems, PLCs, and servo systems is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults in PLCs, servo drives, servo motors, inverters, and associated equipment.
  • Identify, isolate, and repair faulty electronics cards or PCBs used in industrial machinery and control panels to restore optimal functioning.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics to trace faults and support repair activities.
  • Perform component-level diagnosis and repair using precise testing instruments including multimeters, oscilloscopes, megger, and insulation testers.
  • Apply advanced soldering and rework techniques to repair printed circuit boards effectively and reliably.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring failures in drive, motor, and electronic card systems and recommend permanent corrective measures.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation recording faults detected, repair procedures executed, spare parts utilized, and turnaround times.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure troubleshooting processes minimize machine downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Manage and monitor inventory of spare parts including servo drives, electronic cards, and necessary tools to ensure availability during repair operations.
  • Utilize strong understanding of power electronics, motor control, and drive systems to support troubleshooting and repair tasks.
  • Apply hands-on experience to troubleshoot and repair electronic PCBs or cards down to the component level.
  • Explain and work with PLC-driven machines, understanding how servo drives and motors interface and communicate with control systems to isolate faults.
  • Perform diagnostic tests on motor windings, encoders, and resolver feedback systems to identify faults and support maintenance activities.
  • Use basic programming and parameter setting knowledge for servo drives and PLCs to assist in configuring and resolving system issues.
