We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surveyor to join our team at our container depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys and inspections of containers, identifying damages and discrepancies, and providing detailed reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough surveys and inspections of containers
- Identify and report damages, discrepancies, and defects
- Take photographs and document findings
- Prepare and submit detailed reports
- Collaborate with the operations team to resolve issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in container surveying or a related field
- Strong knowledge of container construction, classification, and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
Certifications:
- Accredited Container Surveyor certification or equivalent
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g. IICL, ISO)
