As a product designer you will report directly to the CEO and you will need to be familiar with the company’s manufacturing capabilities and specialization. You will receive input from the Sales team, CEO and manufacturing team, and will also conduct research of you own on product demand and trends. Your main function will be to design a product that can be manufactured within the specified budget and time restraints and is relevant to the target market.
Responsibilities,
- Design of wooden and upholstery products
- Making Technical drawings in conformance with drawing standards
- 3D Rendering of products
- Take part in prototyping of products
- Products production process
- Product budgeting
- Dealing with third party suppliers for procurement and services
- As product design engineer you will be tasked with making 2 new products per month
- Prepare a monthly report to be presented to company executives on product designs
- Support Sales team with providing technical drawings and sketches as required.
- Support production team with interpreting technical drawings
- Perform inspections on custom furniture orders to ensure compliance to client specifications
