Humayun Wellchem Trading Concern is seeking an experienced Quality Control Analyst to join our Quality Control Laboratory located at Sundar Industrial Estate, Lahore, Pakistan. This role requires a dedicated professional with a master's degree in Pharmacy and a minimum of 10 years hands-on experience in the Basic and Semi-Basic Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in analytical testing, compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and regulatory standards including ICH, USP, BP, EP, and DRAP. The role includes working with advanced analytical instruments and leading a small team of three professionals to maintain high-quality standards in our laboratory testing procedures and documentation.
Responsibilities
The Quality Control Analyst conducts detailed analytical testing and examination of raw materials, intermediates, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and stability samples to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance. The role involves operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining sophisticated laboratory instruments such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, and Karl Fischer Titrator. This position requires implementing and reviewing method validation and verification, performing thorough data analysis, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of laboratory documentation in line with GMP standards.
This role also includes investigating Out-of-Specification (OOS) and Out-of-Trend (OOT) results, managing deviations, and supporting Corrective And Preventive Actions (CAPA) implementation to improve processes. The analyst is responsible for ensuring that all laboratory instruments are properly calibrated and qualified. They will lead laboratory investigations, participate in internal and external audits, and support regulatory inspections. Mentoring and guiding a team of three junior analysts is a key function, along with fostering continuous improvement initiatives within the QC laboratory to maintain and elevate operational standards.
