As a Web Developer at Human Design Studios, you will be responsible for turning our design concepts into interactive, user-friendly websites. You'll work closely with our designers and project managers to bring our clients' visions to life. This role requires a strong foundation in web development, an eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, responsive websites.
Responsibilities:
Front-End Development:
Translate design mock-ups into pixel-perfect, responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimal performance across various devices.
Back-End Integration:
Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate server-side functionalities into web applications.
Implement and maintain dynamic features using server-side scripting languages (e.g., PHP, Python, Node.js).
Content Management:
Manage and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements.
Customize and maintain content management systems (e.g., WordPress) to meet project requirements.
User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI):
Work closely with our design team to implement intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
Optimize website navigation and usability to enhance the user experience.
Performance Optimization:
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, such as slow page load times and inefficient code.
Implement best practices for web performance optimization.
Security and Maintenance:
Implement robust security measures to protect websites from vulnerabilities and potential threats.
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and backups of websites and web applications.
Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and content creators, to achieve project goals.
Provide technical expertise and insights during project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a web developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in front-end web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related libraries/frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Familiarity with back-end web development languages and frameworks (e.g., PHP, Python, Node.js).
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for web development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with responsive web design and mobile optimization.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
- Understanding of SEO principles.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest web development trends and technologies.
