The DayCare/Teacher at HRSI is responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that supports the holistic development of young children. This role involves supervising children at all times, assisting with daily routines, and ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards. The teacher plans and conducts educational and recreational activities designed to promote cognitive, emotional, social, language, and motor skill development. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in early childhood education and possesses strong communication and classroom management skills. While this position does not require managing a team, the ability to collaborate effectively with parents, guardians, and daycare staff is essential to ensure the best outcomes for the children. The DayCare/Teacher plays a key role in observing and documenting children's progress, responding promptly to health and safety issues, and continuously engaging with parents about their child's development and daily experiences. The role also involves maintaining an organized and child-friendly classroom, supporting other teachers and daycare staff when needed, and participating actively in staff meetings and ongoing training. Responsibilities

  • Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being within the daycare environment.
  • Create a warm, caring, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and social interaction.
  • Assist children with daily routines such as meals, toileting, handwashing, dressing, and nap time while promoting independence.
  • Ensure all children follow proper hygiene and safety practices to maintain a healthy environment.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities covering fundamental topics like alphabet, phonics, numbers, counting, colors, shapes, storytelling, reading, arts, crafts, music, dance, and sensory play.
  • Encourage creativity, curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and independent learning in every child.
  • Support the cognitive, emotional, social, language, and motor skill development of children through structured activities and responsive interactions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom, arranging toys, learning materials, and equipment to foster engagement and safety.
  • Use positive behavior management techniques to encourage good conduct and social skills among children.
  • Observe and document children's developmental progress and learning milestones accurately to identify any developmental or behavioral concerns.
  • Maintain attendance records and daily activity reports, preparing progress reports as required for supervisors and parents.
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with parents and guardians by providing daily updates on childrens activities, meals, behavior, and progress.
  • Address parents inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy, participating in parent-teacher meetings and daycare events to strengthen communication.
  • Follow all daycare policies and child protection guidelines diligently, ensuring adherence to emergency procedures and maintaining classroom cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Administer first aid when certified and report any accidents or incidents promptly to management and parents.
  • Maintain accurate child records, classroom documentation, and assist in planning daycare events, celebrations, and learning programs.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions actively to support professional development and contribute to a cooperative team environment.
  • Support fellow teachers and daycare staff by sharing responsibilities and providing assistance as needed to maintain smooth operations.
