The Assistant Manager Quality Assurance at HRSI plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the product lifecycle. This position focuses on implementing and maintaining robust quality management systems that comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The role demands a clear understanding of process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen to drive continuous enhancement across operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical capabilities to conduct root cause analyses and applies corrective and preventive actions effectively to resolve quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
This role requires a proactive approach towards monitoring quality metrics and supplier quality management to guarantee consistent product excellence. Although not responsible for managing a team, the Assistant Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment on quality objectives and compliance with good manufacturing practices and FDA regulations. The role demands a professional with 3 to 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance or QA/QC and a bachelor's degree in engineering who is adept at employing quality assurance management tools and software.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis for quality issues, utilizing techniques such as the 5 Whys to identify fundamental problems.
- Develop and execute corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans to address quality findings and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics to assess performance and pinpoint areas for continuous improvement.
- Manage supplier quality by evaluating and collaborating with external vendors to uphold consistent quality standards.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA Regulations Compliance throughout production processes.
- Utilize Quality Assurance Management and Corrective and Preventive Actions software to document and track quality activities effectively.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and facilitating quality compliance verification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality processes and foster a culture of quality awareness.
- Provide training and guidance related to quality procedures and standards across departments.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend strategies that enhance overall product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in risk assessment and mitigation strategies to proactively handle potential quality issues.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and regulatory changes to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.
