We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Humanitarian Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful implementation of humanitarian projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing resources, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining the quality and impact of the project while working closely with affected communities, partners, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Design: Develop detailed project plans and strategies, including goals, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with humanitarian objectives.
  • Coordination & Implementation: Lead and coordinate project teams, including field staff, local partners, and volunteers, to ensure the effective delivery of project activities.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, identify challenges and provide regular updates to donors, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with local authorities, NGOs, donors, and community leaders to ensure project success and sustainability.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges to the project’s success and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, ensure efficient use of resources, and prepare financial reports.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure the project adheres to humanitarian standards, local regulations, and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Humanitarian Aid, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) managing humanitarian projects or working in emergency response.
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and project management methodologies.
  • Experience in managing budgets and donor reporting.
  • Ability to work in challenging environments, including conflict zones or areas affected by disasters.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, or similar).

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with humanitarian standards (e.g., Sphere Standards, IASC Guidelines).
  • Fluency in [Language(s)] is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation (M&E) in humanitarian settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
