About the Role:
You will be responsible for three key areas of our organization i.e. finance operations, accounting and book-keeping, and financial reporting. You will be working in a team of 3-4 senior finance executives collectively overlooking the finance departments for Malaysia (HQ), Singapore, Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia & Bangladesh.
You will be expected to improve upon any function or process, with sufficient management approvals, that will increase efficiency of financial operations and reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Finance Operations & Accounting
- Ensure timely processing and recording of payments made for expenses, project vendors, employee salaries and statutory payments, corporate tax and SST.
- Ensure timely recording and issuance of invoices to clients
- Accurately updating and maintenance of DAR & CAR
- Planning, maintaining and updating operational cash flow.
- Ensuring all the compliance related matters are reported on time.
- Working on cost reduction on a monthly basis and advise on best approach
- Working with country heads to prepare budgets, forecasts and other financial plans.
- Liaising with other finance executives to maintain transparent and accurate intercompany financial information.
- Maintaining accurate information on financing facilities
Financial Reporting
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reports.
- Preparation and prudent management of operational cash flow.
- Primary liaison for yearly audit – working closely with the external auditors to ensure that the timelines are kept and maintained.
You may be given additional finance related duties and responsibilities as deemed fit by management.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance or a Professional Certification in Accounting
- Minimum 3 years’ of experience in accounting related field
- Minimum 5 years’ of experience in accounting related field – finance manager
