Civil Design Engineer

Heights Engineering is seeking a motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to one year of experience in civil engineering. The candidate will focus on preparing designs and plans for site development, grading, drainage, and stormwater management projects. The ideal candidate must hold a BSC, BS, or BE degree in Civil Engineering and demonstrate a passion for civil design work. As a Civil Design Engineer, you will collaborate closely with project teams to analyze hydraulic and hydrologic data and develop effective civil infrastructure designs. Your responsibilities will encompass drafting detailed site plans, performing site grading designs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and environmental standards. This role does not involve team management but demands strong technical accuracy and the ability to support multidisciplinary project goals effectively.
Responsibilities

Create detailed site development plans using AutoCAD and other design tools.
Perform site grading and drainage design ensuring efficient stormwater management.
Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic analyses to support design decisions and regulatory compliance.
Prepare and review engineering calculations and technical reports.
Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and construction teams to ensure design feasibility.
Assist in the development and implementation of construction plans and specifications.
Review project requirements and client specifications to ensure design adherence.
Apply knowledge of local environmental and zoning regulations to project designs.
Support project managers with technical input during project planning and execution phases.
Continuously update technical knowledge and industry trends to incorporate best practices in design.
