Responsibilities:

  • Working at the Trade Operations Department and responsible for the timely preparation of import-export documentation by the requirements of the relevant shipment and/or Letters of Credit involved.
  • Checking, preparing, and issuing Import / Export L/Cs & Collections, as well as checking and preparing the documents under the guidance of UCP600, ISBP 745, URC 522, etc. regulations.
  • Handling all the operational processes of the shipments, including invoicing, documentation, L/C presentation, payment requests of vendor invoices, etc.
  • Carrying out communication with internal and external parties, such as banks, customers, suppliers, surveyors, shipping agents, etc., during the handling of shipments.
  • This position will be located in Dubai.

Requirements:

  • University degree, preferably in logistics or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience gained in international trading operations (i.e., import/export departments of international companies, shipping/forwarding, banks, or similar).
  • Good knowledge of export/import procedures, shipping documents, documentary credits, and bank guarantees.
  • Good knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP 745, ISP 98, URC 522, Incoterms 2020, Bill of Lading Terms & Conditions, International Invoicing Practices, etc.
  • Advanced / Upper Intermediate Proficiency in the English language. Knowledge of French or other languages is an asset.
  • Having experience with ERP systems (preferably JD Edwards).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Result-oriented and well-organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal with stress and work with deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills, analytical thinking & problem-solving skills, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work on his/her own initiative as well as being a team player, flexible, and hard worker.
  • Confident and assertive with excellent communication skills and a good understanding of different cultures.
  • Ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment.
