The Factory Remediation Coordinator serves as a team member of the Remediation Department at the Pakistan Accord’s office in Karachi and Lahore and will report to the Remediation Department Manager and any other person (s) assigned by the Pakistan Accord Management. The Factory Remediation Coordinator will be responsible for the communication and coordination with and between the Accord-covered factories, the responsible Accord brands in each factory, and the Pakistan Accord Secretariat. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the Pakistan Accord remediation process for assigned factories from initial inspection to CAP completion.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between brands, factories, workers, and the relevant Accord staff related to inspections and CAP implementation.
  • Update factory-by-factory data related to inspections and remediation for the Pakistan Accord management in a timely manner according to policies, protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the Pakistan Accord.
  • Ensure that regular CAP updates are submitted by assigned factories to the Accord within the set timelines.
  • Ensure inspection reports, Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), all other relevant documents and data are uploaded into the Accord database.
  • Ensuring smooth and effective coordination with the Factories and providing accurate information in consultation with Engineers.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering Departments on any technical questions from factories related to remediation requirements and timelines.  
  • Coordinate and follow up with the engineering teams to ensure timely production and dissemination of the inspection reports, CAPs, fire, electrical and structural design and drawing and escalation related documents.
  • Support data management and processes related to remediation monitoring including case management tools and trackers.
  • Perform any other duties as delegated by the Remediation Department Manager and senior management of the International Accord and the Pakistan Accord. 

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's / Master’s Degree in Management Science, Social Science, or other relevant discipline.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office especially MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Experience of working with data management systems.
  • Knowledge of the textile and garment industry/ supply chain.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety at the workplace.
  • Knowledge of audits and inspections is preferable.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate with various teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
