The Project Manager will lead the "Climate Resilient WASH: An Integrated Approach to Sustainable Solutions" project in Muzaffarabad, responsible for project planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation. The Project Manager will coordinate with team members, stakeholders, and partners to ensure project objectives are achieved on time and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to effectively address the needs of the target communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Implementation:
    • Develop comprehensive project work plans and timelines to ensure the efficient execution of project activities.
    • Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including WASH, climate resilience, and community empowerment activities.
    • Ensure that project milestones are met in alignment with HDF’s standards and donor requirements.
  2. Team Management and Supervision:
    • Lead and supervise the project team, including Finance, Admin, and Procurement Officers, providing guidance and support.
    • Assign roles and responsibilities, set performance expectations, and conduct regular team meetings to review progress.
    • Facilitate professional development for team members to enhance project outcomes.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination:
    • Establish and maintain effective communication and partnerships with local government authorities, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
    • Represent HDF at community and stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment and promote collaboration.
    • Coordinate with donors and partners to share project updates and address any issues that arise.
  4. Budget Management and Financial Oversight:
    • Monitor the project budget and expenditures, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to manage cash flows, forecast expenses, and prepare financial reports for donors and HDF management.
  5. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
    • Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plan to track project progress and assess the impact of activities.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and final project reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
    • Conduct regular field visits to ensure project activities are being implemented as planned.
  6. Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution, develop mitigation strategies, and take corrective actions as necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with HDF policies, donor regulations, and legal requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Communication and Documentation:
    • Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices to share with stakeholders and for organizational learning.
    • Contribute to the development of communication materials to promote the project's impact.
  8. Other Duties:
    • Perform additional duties as required to support the overall mission of HDF and ensure successful project delivery.
