Deputy Manager - Quality Control

Hamdard Pakistan is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager - Quality Control to supervise and manage the daily operations of the QC laboratory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and packaging materials to maintain the highest standards of product quality. This role demands adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), WHO-GMP, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and DRAP regulations. The Deputy Manager will handle investigations related to out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results, manage deviations, and address quality-related issues promptly to uphold product safety and compliance. The role also involves leading a team of five QC staff members, guiding their development, and ensuring strict compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols. This position requires close coordination with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), Research and Development (R&D), and other departments to address quality concerns effectively. Furthermore, the Deputy Manager will oversee the calibration, maintenance, and proper usage of laboratory equipment while preparing for and supporting internal, external, and regulatory inspections and audits. Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Quality Control laboratory to ensure efficient operations.
Conduct and oversee the testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and packaging materials in accordance with approved specifications.
Review, analyze, and approve laboratory test results, analytical reports, and product specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ensure strict adherence to GMP, GLP, WHO-GMP, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and DRAP regulations throughout laboratory processes.
Investigate and resolve out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results along with any deviations and quality complaints promptly and thoroughly.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all QC activities and laboratory records to meet regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, QA, and R&D to address and resolve quality-related issues effectively.
Oversee proper calibration, maintenance, and effective utilization of laboratory instruments and equipment to guarantee reliable test results.
Lead, mentor, and train QC staff to foster professional growth while enforcing compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Prepare for and support internal, external, and regulatory audits by ensuring laboratory compliance and readiness.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Control department to enhance laboratory efficiency and quality output.
Develop and review SOPs and quality guidelines to keep laboratory practices updated and compliant with regulatory standards.
