Gynae Centre is seeking a Qualified Lady Health Visitor (LHV) with at least five years of hands-on clinical experience to join their dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This position plays a critical role in delivering quality maternal and women's healthcare services. The Qualified LHV is responsible for conducting antenatal checkups, administering vaccinations and essential medications, and providing sterile assistance in various medical procedures including cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries. The candidate must have a valid LHV diploma recognized by the Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC) and demonstrated expertise in managing emergency obstetric cases effectively. The role includes managing a small team of three persons and requires excellent coordination with attending physicians during emergencies such as eclampsia, hemorrhage, and obstructed labor. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough independent antenatal care (ANC) checkups including monitoring blood pressure, weight, fundal height, and fetal heart rate.
  • Administer essential vaccinations and medications such as tetanus toxoid injections, Depo-Provera contraceptives, and iron/folic acid supplements as per clinical guidelines.
  • Safely insert and remove intrauterine contraceptive devices (Copper-T) following established protocols.
  • Provide sterile assistance during medical procedures including cesarean sections, dilation and curettage (D&C), vaginal deliveries, catheterization, intravenous infusions, wound dressing, and suture removal.
  • Recognize and promptly respond to emergency obstetric conditions such as eclampsia, hemorrhage, and obstructed labor by coordinating with attending physicians for timely interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including medication administration and patient assessments.
  • Supervise and lead a team of three healthcare professionals to ensure smooth clinical operations and high-quality patient care delivery.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, emergency care procedures, and postpartum care to promote better health outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, health regulations, and infection control standards at all times.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest clinical guidelines and practices.
  • Support the clinic's objectives by contributing to a compassionate and patient-focused work environment.
