Accountant

Grj Agriculture and Livestock is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will manage bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with established accounting standards. This role involves preparing financial reports, overseeing invoicing processes, performing bank reconciliations, and analyzing financial statements to support sound business decisions. Additionally, the Accountant will be responsible for supervising a small team of two persons, guiding their daily tasks, and ensuring the timely and precise execution of financial operations. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of relevant experience and possess strong skills in financial reporting, general ledger management, and handling accounts payable and receivable functions. The Accountant will work closely with other departments to maintain data integrity and support business objectives through meticulous financial management and reporting. This position is vital for sustaining financial health and operational efficiency within Grj Agriculture and Livestock.
Responsibilities

Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records including ledgers and journals.
Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring integrity and compliance with accounting standards.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including timely processing of invoices and payments.
Perform bank reconciliations to confirm accuracy of financial records and resolve discrepancies.
Generate detailed financial reports to assist management in decision-making processes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Supervise and guide a team of two employees, overseeing their daily accounting tasks and workflow.
Coordinate with other company departments to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data.
Perform data entry accurately, updating company records and maintaining data integrity.
Handle invoicing processes, including generating invoices and monitoring payments to optimize cash flow.
Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting function to enhance efficiency.
Assist in audit preparations and support external auditors with necessary documentation.
Monitor and resolve accounting discrepancies or issues promptly.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to corporate governance requirements.
Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and best practices relevant to the agriculture and livestock industry.
