Gls is seeking a skilled Biomedical Service Engineer to join their team in Karachi. This role involves the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of biomedical and laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will provide critical technical support and training to clients, maintain detailed service documentation, and perform preventive maintenance and quality checks to sustain equipment reliability. The Biomedical Service Engineer will work closely with sales and procurement teams to align equipment specifications with client needs. This role requires at least two years of experience in the biomedical or in vitro diagnostics (IVD) field, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The position may require local travel and occasional overtime to meet urgent client requirements, emphasizing a proactive and responsive service approach.
Responsibilities

Install, test, calibrate, and maintain biomedical and laboratory equipment according to manufacturer and regulatory standards.
Troubleshoot and repair biomedical devices ensuring timely resolution of malfunctions with proper technical documentation.
Provide professional technical support, including equipment demonstrations and user training to clients for optimal usage.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance and quality control inspections to ensure continuous reliable performance.
Prepare comprehensive service reports and maintain meticulous equipment maintenance logs for audit and reference purposes.
Coordinate effectively with sales and procurement teams to clarify equipment specifications and meet client requirements.
Ensure all biomedical equipment complies with health, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in biomedical technology to continuously improve service quality.
Manage local client support visits and site inspections, providing expert guidance and troubleshooting on-site.
Work occasional overtime as required to address critical client needs or project deadlines.
