EHS Officer

GH2 Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a proactive and motivated EHS Officer to support the implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) systems and promote a strong safety culture across our rice ingredients manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in industrial safety with exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM) in chemical, food processing, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, fertilizer, or other continuous process industries. The role involves conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, safety training, and ensuring compliance with statutory and Company EHS requirements. The successful candidate will also support Process Safety initiatives, including HAZOP, Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and Permit to Work (PTW) systems while working closely with operations, maintenance, contractors, and other departments to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
Conduct workplace inspections, HIRA/JSA, and safety audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) activities and ensure contractor safety compliance.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Deliver EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
Support Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, including HAZOP, Management of Change (MOC), and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
Assist in emergency preparedness, fire safety, and environmental management activities.
Maintain EHS documentation, inspection records, incident reports, and safety performance data.
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Utilities, and other departments to promote a safe working environment and continuous improvement in EHS performance.
