The Administrative Officer will provide essential support to the administrative team and assist in various clerical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the organization. This is an entry-level position which will be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in administrative functions and contribute to the overall productivity of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the day-to-day operations of the administrative department and staff members,
  • Hiring, training, and evaluating employees and taking corrective action when necessary,
  • Developing, reviewing, and improving administrative systems, policies, and procedures,
  • Ensuring the office is stocked with necessary supplies a that all equipment is working and properly maintained,
  • Planning, scheduling, and promoting office events, including meetings, conferences, interviews, orientations, and training sessions,
  • Overseeing special projects and tracking progress towards company goals (i.e. office shifting to new plaza),
  • Building and expanding on skills by engaging in educational opportunities (employee training),
  • Assessment of staff performance and provide coaching and guidance accordingly,
  • Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate other business operations (notifications and circulars),
  • Purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints,
  • Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation,
  • Oversee facilities services, maintenance activities, and tradespersons (e.g. electricians),
  • Organize and supervise other office activities (recycling, renovations, event planning, etc.)
